Venue
The conference will take place at the German High Performance Computing Centre for Climate- and Earth System Research (DKRZ) in Hamburg, Germany. The German Climate Computing Centre is the national german service center for climate researchers. DKRZ's mission is to provide high performance computing platforms, sophisticated and high capacity data management, and superior service for premium climate science. The DKRZ is a coordinating node in the national and European network of climate researchers.
EnA-HPC is organized by Thomas Ludwig — head of the DKRZ, and professor at the Department of Informatics of the University of Hamburg.
University of Hamburg
The University of Hamburg is one of Germany's largest universities with about 38,000 students. It is comprised of 150 different buildings that are spread throughout the whole city. The main campus is located in Von-Melle-Park and the surrounding district of Eimsbüttel.

By airplane
From Hamburg Airport with train S1 to Ohlsdorf. Change to subway line U1 (direction Jungfernstieg) to station Kellinghusenstraße. Change to subway line U3 (direction Schlump/Hauptbahnhof) to Schlump station. After a 10 minute walk you reach the back entrance of DKRZ on Laufgraben.
By car
It can be quite hard to find a parking spot near DKRZ. So we recommend that you leave your car at one of the Park+Ride parking lots of HVV and then take public transport to Schlump station. After a 10 minute walk you reach the back entrance of DKRZ on Laufgraben.
By public transportation
From main station take subway line U2 (red line, direction to Niendorf-Nord) to Schlump station (7 minutes). After a 10 minute walk you reach the back entrance of DKRZ on Laufgraben.
From railway station Dammtor you may go by bus, line No. 5 or 4 (direction Niendorf-Markt / Wildacker) to station Grindelhof (2 stops), following a 5 minute walk to the entrance on Bundesstraße.
Schedules of the city's public transportation can be planned easily on the website Geofox, just enter "Bundestraße 45a" as "street number" in the form, you might want to get multiple routes – therefore check a higher number in “show routes”.
